I’m not feeling very good today. It’s just a cold. No big deal, but when you’re home and out of your regular routine it can be frustrating. There are so many things you’d like to do but you just don’t have the motivation. So what do you do?
First, because of the recent pandemic, it’s not only easier to stay home when sick, it’s encouraged. So stay home and don’t get others sick. And by the way, take the day off…you’re sick. Rest. Got it?
Secondly, apply this only if you’re on the mend. Use your phone and laptop…from your bed. That’s what I’m doing right now. Correspondence, necessary phone calls, journaling, blogging.
Thirdly, not everything has to be done today. Take a look at your reminder list (I have an ongoing list currently with 26 items on it.) Not all of them are a priority. In fact, I have only one really important task to do today. All the rest can wait.
Lastly, sleep.
Psalm 6:2 “Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am faint; heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony.”
