Opportunity

Have you ever contemplated how wonderful an opportunity is? I mean, an opportunity is a set of circumstances that makes it possible to do something. When you think about it, you often hear about that person who is “in the right place at the right time.” I submit to you however that you don’t need luck to make things happen. You can be that “guy” or that “gal”. But what you need is a perspective.

Lucky people know something that “unlucky” people don’t know. They know that opportunities are always present. Ephesians 5:15-16 says…”Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity.” The implication is that the opportunities are already there. We just need to see them, embrace them, and seize them.

Develop a practice of looking at life as a possibility. A possibility to do something, be something, help someone, encourage someone. In short, make a difference.  One of the greatest things you can do is to choose the opportunities that benefit other people. You become a difference maker and not just a difference talker. How’s your perspective?
