Connection

There are few moments in life that feel as unexpectedly wonderful as when you discover someone who “gets” the thing you’re passionate about. It can happen over the simplest topics — a hobby, a story, a childhood memory, a movie quote, or something you’ve been thinking about quietly for years. And then suddenly… someone else lights up too.

There’s something sacred about that moment — the kind of connection that can’t be forced or manufactured. You can know someone for years, pass each other in the hallways of life, and then one day a topic comes up… and it’s as if the two of you step into the same wavelength. You’re not just talking anymore. You’re connecting.

We live in a world where everyone is busy, distracted, and often isolated — even when surrounded by people. That’s why these moments matter so much. They are small but powerful hints of the community our hearts long for. We weren’t created only for information. We were made for connection.

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17

That’s what happens when two people connect on something meaningful — they sharpen each other. They energize each other. They draw something out of each other that wasn’t there alone.
