“Atomic Habits”

Catchy book titles grab my attention. That’s the case with the book Atomic Habits. I discovered one fresh insight that was worth reading the entire book. Here it is: Whether good or bad, habits accumulate. They have a compounding influence I did not think about before.  Positive habits associated with productivity, knowledge, and relationships can reap huge rewards, especially over time because they multiply. Reading, listening to challenging podcasts, hanging with people you respect will eventually affect your core values. This is true in just about every area of our lives.

For example, Galatians 6:9 says “And let us not get tired of doing what is right, for after a while we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t get discouraged and give up.” You might not immediately see the rewards of doing good, but don’t give up. Those rewards might be right around the corner.
